Wireless Computer KeyboardsOne of the more convenient items that we can purchase for use with our computer are wireless computer keyboards. These come with a number of different options that are available, some of them that will make them even more convenient than being able to type, wire free. If you're in the market for one of these wireless computer keyboards, here are some things for you to consider before purchasing one. First of all, not all wireless computer keyboards are going to connect with the computer in the same way. Some of them are going to use infrared light in order to talk to the computer, while others may use Bluetooth technology. Either of these can really be convenient, but you want to make sure that your computer is going to be compatible with the keyboard by offering you the same type of wireless technology. For example, infrared often requires that you have direct line of sight in order for it to work flawlessly. Bluetooth is generally a better option, but you're going to have to make sure that your computer is Bluetooth compatible. Otherwise, you can purchase a small Bluetooth unit that plugs into your computer in a USB port. There are also a lot of us that are interested in wireless computer keyboards that are smaller than a standard keyboard. This makes it especially convenient whenever you are traveling, or to be able to simply sit back with the keyboard on your lap and the computer in front of you. There are some smaller keyboards that are available, but you may find that it is difficult to use the keys if they are smaller than standard size. Usually, if you get one of these wireless computer keyboards that does not have any of the additional keys on it, you will find it to be most convenient. A number of other options are available for wireless computer keyboards, such as those that fold so that you can easily store them and take them along with you while you're traveling. Others are ergonomic, providing you with extra support for your wrists if you have a difficulty with carpal tunnel syndrome. You may also want to look for one that either has a touchpad installed or perhaps also includes a wireless mouse along with it. In this way, you will be able to do all of your computing without having to have wires directly connected to the computer. ![]() In-Depth Review: Touch Mouse: Free Wireless Mouse app from Logitech - The Mac... 2 Sep 2010 at 12:37pm In-Depth Review: Touch Mouse: Free Wireless Mouse app from Logitech The Mac Observer Tap the keyboard icon to use the app's keyboard.
